Niniola Makes First Public Appearance After Husband's Passing

Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has raised concerns among her fans. This is her first public appearance since her husband, Michael Ndika, passed away two months ago. In a recent video shared online in July, many fans noticed she looked noticeably slimmer. They expressed their worries about her health and well-being.

Though she seems to be slowly returning to public life, fans believe her new look shows the emotional impact of losing her husband. On Saturday, Niniola shared a throwback photo of herself on her Instagram Story. She included a message about how her late husband admired her body.

“Michael… Loved me thick.

“You always loved me to be thick,” she wrote.

In another touching post, Niniola shared her feelings about the pain of losing her husband.

“Where do I start from?

“How do I handle this new and unbelievable reality?” she wrote.

Supporters flooded social media with messages of encouragement, urging the singer to be strong during this difficult time. PUNCH Online reported in May that Niniola announced her husband's death through emotional posts on her Instagram Story.

“God took him,” she wrote in one message. In another, she simply stated, “My husband died.”

She later added, “God took him. 13 years. 13 fing years.” Ndika was the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview, a multimedia platform that focuses on Afro-house and contemporary African music. The details surrounding his death have not been disclosed.

Niniola has always kept her marriage private. She became popular after competing in Project Fame West Africa in 2013 and gained international fame with her hit song Maradona in 2017.
