Osimhen remains top scorer in Serie A since 2020/21

Victor Osimhen has the best goals-per-minute ratio in Serie A over the last six seasons. This information comes from Opta, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra.

The Nigerian striker leads the list of players who have scored at least 50 goals in Italy's top league since the 2020/21 season. He averages a goal every 125 minutes.

Osimhen netted 65 Serie A goals in 108 matches during his four seasons with Napoli. His best season was in 2022/23.

That season, he scored 26 goals in 32 league games, becoming Serie A’s top scorer. He played an important part in Napoli winning the title, which they had not done in 33 years.

Things turned sour between Osimhen and the Napoli management. This led to his loan move to Galatasaray in the summer of 2024. He later joined the Turkish team permanently in 2025 for a deal said to be worth €75m.

Inter Milan's captain, Lautaro Martinez, comes in second on the list. He scores every 133 minutes. The Argentine has netted 132 Serie A goals in 267 appearances over eight seasons with Inter.

Dusan Vlahovic and Ciro Immobile share the third spot, scoring every 146 minutes.

Vlahovic spent eight seasons in Serie A before moving to Besiktas this summer, after playing for Fiorentina and Juventus.

Immobile, on the other hand, has been a Serie A player since the 2008/09 season. He has played for Juventus, Genoa, Torino, Lazio, and Bologna. The 36-year-old has scored 174 goals but also averages a goal every 146 minutes.

Romelu Lukaku is fifth on the list with a goal every 163 minutes. The Belgian striker has played for Inter Milan and Roma before moving to Napoli, where he spent two seasons with Osimhen’s former club.

Lukaku has now moved to Turkey and plays in the same league as Osimhen.

Osimhen’s ranking shows how effective he was during his four years in Italy. His scoring rate is better than many of the top forwards in Serie A during that time.
