Osimhen shines in Turkish league match

Turkish football analyst Emre Bol has said that Victor Osimhen is too good for the Turkish Super Lig. He praised the Nigerian striker’s impact after he scored two goals to help Galatasaray beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 on Monday, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Osimhen found the net in the 29th and 44th minutes at Rams Park. This gave Galatasaray a two-goal lead before halftime. Even though Fenerbahçe pulled one back through İrfan Can Kahveci in the second half, Galatasaray managed to hold on for the win and move back to the top of the league table.

While speaking on the SporON YouTube channel, Bol called the Super Eagles striker a player who can change games. He said he couldn’t remember another player in recent years who has had such a big effect on matches.

“Osimhen is too good for this league. He’s one of those guys who finishes the competition,” Bol said, as reported by Habersarikirmizi.

“I don’t remember another guy in years who, when he’s on the field, has such a 100 percent impact on the game. He’s a guy who leaves his mark on the game and has a 100 percent impact.”

This latest performance showed again how important Osimhen is to Galatasaray. He has become one of the club’s key players since joining from Napoli on loan in September 2024, later making a permanent move in July 2025.

The 27-year-old had an impressive first season in Turkey, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 games across all competitions. Galatasaray won both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup during this time.

He also took home the league’s Golden Boot after ending the campaign with 26 goals.

Osimhen has kept his scoring streak going in the current season. He scored in Galatasaray’s 4-2 Champions League win over Lille on October 21. He then scored twice against Fenerbahçe just five days later.

His two goals against Fenerbahçe have further solidified his reputation as a key player in important matches. Galatasaray is counting on his goals as they aim for another successful season.
