RCCG investigates former teens pastor over sexual misconduct claims

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has started an internal investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Adefolarin Fowosere, also known as Pastor Ade Fire. He was the former National Teens President and led the RCCG The Revival House, a church aimed at teenagers and young adults.

Fowosere, who is 22 years old, has been accused of sexual misconduct, abuse of his pastoral authority, and exploiting several women. These allegations recently surfaced on social media platforms X and TikTok.

When PUNCH Online reached out to Fowosere, he asked our reporter to send a text message. He read the message on iMessage but did not respond to the specific claims against him.

A man who claimed to be Fowosere’s media spokesperson, Mr Daniel, later contacted PUNCH Online. He said the church is already addressing the issue through its internal process.

“The church is aware and it is being handled by the necessary authorities at the Redeemed camp.

“Ade Fire himself has been reporting to Mummy GO’s office for about a week or two, even before the social media discussions started.

“Every necessary unit concerned with the matter is involved. The issue is on the desk of Mummy GO. The authority of RCCG instructed him not to make any public statement for now. Let’s await the truth,” the spokesperson said.

The church has not released an official statement on the allegations yet.

Many reactions have poured in on social media regarding these claims. Several women have accused Fowosere of sexual misconduct and abuse while they were under his spiritual guidance.

One woman claimed in a TikTok post that Fowosere used his position as a spiritual leader to form inappropriate relationships with young women. Other users on social media have shared similar allegations.

PUNCH Online has not confirmed any of the allegations.

As of now, no law enforcement agency has announced any criminal charges against Fowosere.

The church's internal investigation will likely shape its response to these serious claims.
