Red House wins big at fifth Foursquare Sports Fiesta

Red House has won the fifth edition of the Foursquare Sports Fiesta. This annual sporting event is organized by the Foursquare Gospel Church, District Headquarters, Sabo. It brings together teenagers from different churches and the local community.

Red House led the final medal table with 12 gold, five silver, and eight bronze medals. Yellow House came in second place, winning 11 gold, 15 silver, and four bronze medals.

Blue House took third place with seven gold, six silver, and nine bronze medals. Purple House finished fourth, earning five gold, nine silver, and 13 bronze medals.

The Sports Fiesta started in 2021. It aims to use sports for fellowship, healthy competition, and fun. The event also creates chances for evangelism, prayer, counseling, and personal interaction among teenagers.

This year’s event, called Sports Fiesta 5.0, is the fifth since the program began.

At the end of the event, Mrs. Titilope Ayodeji, a member of the organizing committee, said the program was successful.

“We are very happy with the turnout and the impact we had in the lives of these youth, and I think this has been a great success,” she said.

Sis Ayotunde Ezeh, a counselor at the event, also commented on the large number of teenagers who came to the arena during the afternoon session. She noted that this year’s turnout was bigger than last year’s.

“It is great that we are getting a lot of participants now, and the turnout made the event extremely explosive and fun for everyone who participated,” she said.

“We look forward to a bigger one next year.”
