Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo has signed a new deal with Italian club AS Roma. This contract extension will keep her at the club until 30 June 2029.
The Giallorossi made the announcement in a statement, rewarding Oladipo for her strong performance since joining.
"AS Roma are delighted to announce that Shukurat Oladipo has extended her contract with the club until 30 June 2029," the statement said.
Oladipo joined Roma in February 2025. She quickly became an important player for the team, making 32 appearances across all competitions since then.
The 2025/26 season was a standout for Oladipo. She played a key role in helping Roma win both the Serie A Femminile (Scudetto) title and the Coppa Italia.
She was also named the best defender in the league that season. The club noted her growing impact internationally, mentioning that she has been a regular for the Super Falcons since the 2024/25 season.
In the announcement, Roma praised Oladipo's work and her commitment to the team.
"A central defender, Oladipo joined the Giallorossi back in February 2025, and has so far made 32 appearances for the club.
"During the 2025/26 campaign she was instrumental in both our Scudetto and Coppa Italia wins. Shukurat has also been a regular member of the Nigerian senior national team since the 2024/25 season.
"Congratulations, Shuks!"
This new deal marks another big step in Oladipo’s quickly growing career. It shows Roma's trust in her as a key player as they aim for more success in Italy and Europe.
For Oladipo, this contract extension is a reward for her hard work and a chance to keep improving at one of Italy’s top women’s clubs. It also solidifies her position in Nigeria’s national team for future competitions.
