The Ondo State Police have arrested a 38-year-old man named Nsikak Kingsley. He is accused of beating his father, Adone Peter, to death in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area.
This information came from a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, on Thursday.
Jimoh said the suspect allegedly attacked his father after an argument that turned violent. The statement explained, "The Ondo State Police Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Felix Ohagwu, has arrested a 38-year-old man, identified as Nsikak Kingsley for his alleged involvement in the death of his biological father, Adone Peter, aged 65 years."
The incident has shocked many people in the community. Jimoh added, "The tragic incident occurred in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State and has generated widespread concern among residents of the area."
According to the police, on May 28, 2026, Nsikak got into a heated argument with his father. This argument escalated into physical violence. During the fight, Adone reportedly suffered serious injuries, especially to his head. He was quickly taken to the hospital for help.
Sadly, despite the efforts of the doctors, they confirmed that Adone Peter had died while receiving treatment.
Police managed to arrest Nsikak after a report was made by his brother at a nearby police station. Officers acted quickly following the complaint.
