Super Falcons have revealed a new jersey that has 10 stars around the team’s badge. This is just in time for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Every star stands for one of Nigeria’s wins in the tournament. ESON Africa shared this news on its X account on Thursday night.
The nine-time African champions wore the new kit for the first time during a friendly match against Tanzania’s Twiga Stars. They won that match 2-1.
Each of the 10 stars shows that Nigeria’s Super Falcons are the most successful team in the history of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Justin Madugu, the team’s coach, is looking to build on this great record.
The Super Falcons will travel to Morocco. They aim to win their 11th title in the tournament. The 2026 WAFCON starts on Saturday.
The Super Falcons will kick off their title defence against Malawi, who are making their first appearance in the tournament. This match will take place at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday.
