Taiwo Awoniyi gives football boots to 350 kids in Kwara

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has given football boots to 350 young players in the Kwara Kiddies League. He did this through his foundation to help them grow their skills and chase their football dreams.

The handover event took place on Saturday. It was attended by Bolakale Mogaji, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission. He praised Awoniyi for his ongoing support for youth football.

Mogaji, who helped distribute the boots, called Awoniyi a true friend of grassroots sports. He said it is important to provide young players with resources and chances to grow their talents.

He urged more people to invest in grassroots sports. He pointed out that donations like Awoniyi's are key to building a strong football system in the state. He also hoped that Awoniyi’s actions would encourage other sports figures to help young talents in their areas.

Ibrahim Jatto, the Chief Operating Officer of the Kwara Kiddies League, thanked the Taiwo Awoniyi Foundation for the support. He spoke on behalf of the league’s over 500 young players.

Jatto mentioned that the foundation has been a steady supporter of the league. They have provided playing kits, meals, and cash rewards worth millions of naira for top performers.

He said the new donation would motivate the youngsters, many of whom dream of becoming professional footballers.

Jatto also shared the league’s plans to boost players’ visibility. They are now subscribed to scouting and football analysis platforms Wyscout and Eyeball. This will help showcase the players’ performances to a larger audience.

“With more visibility through our subscriptions on Wyscout and Eyeball, your ongoing support is creating better chances for these young talents,” he said.

Awoniyi, who is also the chairman of the Kwara Kiddies League, keeps backing grassroots football. His initiatives aim to give young players the tools they need to reach their potential.

This latest donation adds to the foundation's work in developing young football talents in Kwara State and helps strengthen the growth of these young players.
