Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is now on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur. The Premier League team is ready to make a move for the Galatasaray star. This comes after other top European clubs have tried and failed to sign the Nigerian from Turkey, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Tottenham, known for spending big this summer, sees Osimhen as a key player they need to strengthen their attack. The north London club has already invested over £230 million in new players. They have brought in talents like Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke. But they want to add more firepower before the transfer window closes.

Reports from CaughtOffside say Spurs are willing to offer £65 million for Osimhen. But this amount might be too low considering Osimhen is at the peak of his career. He is Galatasaray's main star, signed for €75 million (around £65 million), and he has a contract that runs until 2029.

Galatasaray has set Osimhen's price at €150 million. The player has also mentioned that he will only leave if the club wants him to go. CaughtOffside noted that Spurs have received "sporting approval" to start official talks for Osimhen.

There is a belief that agreeing on personal terms with the player should not be too difficult. Osimhen has been instrumental in leading his teams to three league titles in the last four years. He won Serie A with Napoli in the 2022/23 season and secured back-to-back Super Lig titles with Galatasaray in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.

In the past four seasons, Osimhen has scored 107 goals in 145 matches across all competitions. His Champions League record is impressive too, with 16 goals in 27 games.

The Nigerian striker has caught the eye of Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, but no deal has been finalized. He has also been linked to Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Bayern Munich.
