Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Tram has said he does not owe ₦400m linked to a car crash in 2024. He explained that the cars involved belonged to a friend who was also hurt in the accident, not rented cars as he had said before.

Tram made this clarification in a viral interview clip released on Monday, just a day after he joined the show as a new housemate.

An old video of a high-speed crash between a 2022 Corvette Stingray and a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee surfaced online right after Tram's introduction on Sunday night.

When asked in the viral video if he owed ₦400m, Tram quickly denied it. "First off, no, I do not owe 400 million. Obviously, I would probably not be this chill if I was owing 400 million," he stated.

He confirmed that the accident happened but said it was not planned. "So, in 2024, I was involved in a car accident, a viral car accident. Obviously, the car accident happened. It wasn’t planned. It’s not like we planned to have an accident that day. Life happens. But thank God no one died," he explained.

Tram seemed annoyed that people focused more on the damaged cars than on the fact that no one lost their life. "Everyone is concerned about the car and whatever happened. No one died in that accident," he noted.

He also corrected his earlier statement about the cars being rented. "None of the cars were rented. The car actually belongs to a friend of mine, and he was also involved in the accident. This is a part that social media doesn’t even understand," he added. He mentioned that he was "not allowed to speak on certain things" about the case.

Looking back at the crash, Tram described it as a moment that changed his life. "My experience that day, crazy. I had a conversation with God in that moment," he shared.

The accident took place on September 14, 2024, when the Corvette Tram was driving lost control during a race, hit the Jeep, and crashed into a concrete pole.

Footage from the scene showed serious damage, with the Corvette badly wrecked. No one died, but Tram had injuries to his head and jaw, back pain, and facial bruises.

He was taken to the hospital and later mentioned he suffered from flashbacks and sleeplessness because of the pain.

A few days after the crash, Tram went on Instagram to ask for public support, saying damages were over ₦400m from write-offs, hospital bills, and property damage. At that time, he called the vehicles rented.

The appeal got mixed reactions, with many Nigerians feeling sorry for his survival while others criticized him for reckless street racing and for asking the public for money.

His recent comments, which contradict his 2024 statements, have sparked doubt online, with social media users questioning the difference between his current denial and his earlier request for funds.

Tram is one of the new housemates introduced for this season of the reality show.
