Governor Uba Sani has named three new commissioners, 45 aides, and 40 members of various boards. This move aims to speed up his government’s development plans and improve institutions.
In a statement from the Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, the Governor mentioned that these appointees will help push the administration’s transformational plans. They will work on improving public service and supporting sustainable economic growth.
The statement revealed that Ben Kure, who is the Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation, will become the Commissioner of Sports Development.
Amina Akilu Dalhat has been appointed as Commissioner of Special Duties I, while Abdullahi Garba Abbas will take on the role of Commissioner of Special Duties II.
The Chief Press Secretary also stated that Dr Haliru Soba, who is the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, will serve as Deputy Chief of Staff Administration.
Governor Uba Sani has also named Chairmen and members for important boards. The statement said, "those appointed include Alhaji Munir Jafaru, Board Chairman, Kaduna State Health Care Board and AVM Bashir Gamagira Saidu, Board Chairman, Kaduna Vigilance Service Board."
Other Chairmen include Justice Gideon Isa Kurada (Rtd), who will chair the College of Education, Gidan Waya, Esther Bago, who will lead the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Dr Yusuf Aliyu Bature, who will head the Kaduna Hospital Supply Management Agency, and Namadi Musa, the chair of Kaduna Rural Access Roads Authority.
The statement also noted that, "while congratulating the new appointees, Governor Uba Sani stated that they have been carefully selected based on their proven track records of excellence, integrity, and dedication."
He urged them to bring fresh ideas, avoid complacency, and fully embrace his vision for a transformed and resilient state. He wished them God’s guidance in their new roles.
