Uche Ogbodo Opens Up About Her New Look

Nigerian actress Uche Ogbodo has revealed that she was unhappy with how she looked. This feeling pushed her to go for a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure.

Ogbodo has some experience with cosmetic surgery. PREMIUM TIMES previously reported that she had also undergone bum enlargement surgery.

The actress shared her journey in a video she posted on her Instagram page. This was a day-one post-procedure documentary that she put out on Friday.

Facial rejuvenation includes cosmetic treatments aimed at giving a younger look. It addresses issues like loose skin, wrinkles, sunspots, and loss of facial volume. These treatments can be done with or without surgery.

Ogbodo, 40, emphasized that she was not looking for perfection. She mentioned that her aim was to feel refreshed, youthful, and confident while still being herself.

She said, “This is day one after my facial rejuvenation. This is a raw video, no filter. Everywhere is swollen.

My whole face is swollen. Honestly, I don’t know. I look so different.

I don’t even- I don’t like how I look. But I think I’m, it’s gonna get better. The doctor told me it’s gonna get better. I look fine now. So let’s see what happens.

“Day 1 of giving my face the love, care and attention it deserves. I’m not chasing perfection. I’m simply choosing to look refreshed, youthful, confident and very much like myself. No hiding. No apologies. No pressure to age a certain way. This is my face. My journey. My choice. And baby, are we about to glow or what? Goddess mode activated.”

Ogbodo also encouraged those who are unhappy with their looks to think about facial rejuvenation, as long as they can afford it.

She explained that she decided to change her appearance because she had the means to do so.

“I’m a woman who believes in one thing: if you don’t like it, change it. I’m not about to sit down and complain about something I have the power to improve. I love my face, I love myself, but babes, we can always upgrade! So yes.

“I went to Marvels Aesthetics Hub for my facial rejuvenation, and baby, they understood the assignment! I had threads + fillers + PDO done to lift, restore volume, smooth out lines and give me that fresh, youthful, well-rested look, without surgery,” she said.

The actress stressed that anyone wanting to improve their appearance should prioritize safety. They should have the procedure done at a recognized medical facility with qualified doctors.

Ogbodo made the decision to undergo facial rejuvenation about a month after she announced her separation from her husband, Bobby Maris, after eight years of marriage.

She shared that she was tired of the “princess” who married her, noting that she had spent eight years in that relationship.

She questioned whether she would have to suffer before the “crown of thorns” would fit her right. She also asked why it is seen as wrong for a woman to say she is tired of her marriage. She wanted to know what crime she committed by choosing to seek happiness.

Ogbodo gained popularity in 2006 after she made her acting debut in “Another Bondage.”

Since then, she has been in several movies, including “Four Sisters,” “Players,” “Your Holiness,” “Your Last Action,” “Honour My Will,” “The Laptop,” and “Royal Palace.”
