Serie A club Udinese has set a €15m price tag on Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. Juventus is stepping up their search for a new keeper ahead of the summer transfer window. Okoye has become a main target for the Turin team after their efforts to sign a bigger name hit a snag.
Italian news outlet Il Messaggero Veneto, through Tuttomercatoweb, reports that Juventus is focusing on Okoye after struggling to land Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Udinese has valued Okoye at a price similar to what Juventus is willing to pay for Martinez. This shows how much the Friuli club values their goalkeeper.
Okoye’s rise to one of Serie A’s most reliable goalkeepers has faced some challenges. The 26-year-old missed the first six games of the 2025/26 season due to a suspension related to a betting investigation. He bounced back strongly, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding 32 goals in 30 games. His performances helped Udinese finish comfortably in 10th place in the Serie A standings.
His performances have caught attention beyond Turin. The goalkeeper has been a key player for the Super Eagles lately. He has played in important matches under coach Eric Chelle and has established himself as Nigeria’s new number one.
With two years left on his contract at Udinese, the club does not need to rush into a sale. Their €15m asking price shows they want to get fair value for a goalkeeper who has proven himself in Serie A.
Juventus is actively looking for a new goalkeeper and might come back with a formal offer as the transfer window goes on.
