Wellington College International Lagos names Christine Haslett as Founding Headmaster

Wellington College International Lagos has announced that Christine Haslett will be the Founding Headmaster starting from 1 August 2026. This appointment is a key step as the school prepares to open in September 2027. It brings experienced leadership at an important time in the school's growth.

Christine has a solid background in international education. She has worked in both day and boarding schools in the UK, China, and Indonesia. She played a major role in starting Wellington College Independent School Jakarta. There, she helped build its academic, pastoral, and organizational foundations. She is known for her clear leadership style, strong commitment to caring for students, building community, and maintaining high academic standards.

Paul Vanni, the International Director of Wellington College International, said: “Christine brings the experience and judgement required to lead a school through its founding years.
