An entrepreneur, Adekoya Ibukunoluwa, has taken Sandra Edoho to court, asking for N100m in damages. She claims Sandra made defamatory posts on Instagram that linked her to an affair with Sandra’s estranged husband, Frank Edoho, a well-known broadcaster.
In a legal document dated July 17, 2026, and signed by lawyer Festus Ogun, who is also the Managing Partner of FOLEGAL, Adekoya accused Sandra of libel, misrepresentation, and invading her privacy. This was related to posts made on Sandra's Instagram account, “vivibella_designs.”
The issue began in October 2023 when Monisola reportedly met Frank Edoho by chance at Hardrock Café in Lekki, Lagos. They talked about their love for Arsenal Football Club and exchanged contacts.
Adekoya’s lawyers alleged that on November 19, 2023, Sandra pretended to be her husband on WhatsApp. She invited Adekoya to the Edoho home in Victoria Garden City, Lagos, offering her N10m, claiming she just wanted to “honour the invitation.”
The legal document claimed that Sandra, while pretending to be Frank’s brother, picked Adekoya up and took her to the house. There, Adekoya was reportedly locked in a room.
Frank, who was said to be asleep at the time, was later woken up and was shocked by the affair claims. He allegedly apologized to Adekoya about what happened.
Adekoya’s legal team stated that after a marital crisis between Sandra and Frank in May 2026, Sandra started a “calculated campaign” against Adekoya. She posted Adekoya's photo, private WhatsApp chats, and a video on Instagram.
These posts, according to the claim, made Adekoya look like one of several women supposedly involved with Frank.
One of the posts quoted in the legal document said: “Or is it the smelling prostitute whom you led into our home? Where I had a video record you escorting her to the gate.”
Adekoya’s lawyers called the posts “blatantly false, mischievous and misleading.” They said the posts hurt their client’s reputation by labeling her as a “prostitute, sex worker and a person of questionable character.”
The legal document claimed these posts went viral. They were shared by blogs and online platforms, leading to cyberbullying, harassment, insults, and public ridicule for Adekoya.
Adekoya also wants a ruling that the May 19, 2026 Instagram post was defamatory, false, and malicious. She is asking Sandra to take down the posts and issue a full apology.
She seeks an injunction to stop Sandra from posting similar materials in the future, N100m in damages, and the cost of legal action.
Adekoya’s team also suggested an out-of-court settlement. They want Sandra to delete the posts, publicly apologize for pretending to be Frank Edoho, and pay N20m in damages.
They gave Sandra seven days to reply to the allegations, following Lagos State High Court rules, warning that not responding would lead to more legal action.
