An entrepreneur, Adekoya Ibukunoluwa, has filed a lawsuit against Sandra Edoho. She is demanding N100m in damages over claims made on Instagram that link her to an affair with Sandra’s estranged husband, popular broadcaster Frank Edoho.
In a legal document dated July 17, 2026, and signed by her lawyer, Festus Ogun, Adekoya accused Sandra of libel, fraud, and invasion of privacy due to posts on Sandra’s Instagram account, “vivibella_designs.”
The row started in October 2023 when Monisola allegedly ran into Frank Edoho at Hardrock Café, Lekki, Lagos. They chatted about their shared love for Arsenal Football Club and exchanged contact details.
Adekoya’s lawyers alleged that on November 19, 2023, Sandra pretended to be her husband on WhatsApp. She invited Adekoya to the Edoho home in Victoria Garden City, Lagos, offering N10m, saying she was only expected to “honour the invitation.”
The claim also states that while pretending to be Frank’s brother, Sandra picked Adekoya up and took her to the house, where she was allegedly locked in a room. The lawyers said Frank was asleep during this and was shocked to hear about the alleged affair when he woke up. He reportedly apologized to Adekoya for the situation.
Adekoya’s legal team claimed that after a marital crisis between Sandra and Frank in May 2026, Sandra started a “calculated campaign” against Adekoya. She posted Adekoya’s picture, personal WhatsApp chats, and a video on Instagram.
These posts, according to the claim, made it seem like Monisola was one of several women involved with Frank. One of the posts quoted in the legal document said: “Or is it the smelling prostitute whom you led into our home? Where I had a video record you escorting her to the gate.”
Monisola’s lawyers called these posts “blatantly false, mischievous and misleading.” They said the posts damaged her reputation by labeling her as a “prostitute, sex worker and a person of questionable character.”
The legal document claimed that the posts went viral, were shared by blogs and online platforms, and that Monisola faced cyberbullying, harassment, insults, and public shame.
Adekoya wants the court to declare that the May 19, 2026 Instagram post was defamatory, false, and malicious. She is asking Sandra to take down the posts and issue a full apology.
She is also seeking an order to stop Sandra from making similar posts in the future, N100m in damages, and to cover her legal costs.
The memorandum suggested an out-of-court settlement, where Sandra would delete the alleged posts, publicly apologize for pretending to be Frank Edoho, and pay N20m in damages.
Adekoya’s legal team gave Sandra seven days to respond to the claims. They reminded her that failure to reply could lead to further legal action, according to Practice Direction No. 2 of the 2019 Lagos State High Court Civil Procedure Rules.
