Ajayi Shines as Nigerian Players Start New Season with Mixed Results

Semi Ajayi made a strong return to the Premier League by scoring in Hull City's 2-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday.

Ajayi found the net in the 17th minute. Nobel Mendy added a second goal in the 38th minute. This loss was a first for Manchester United on the opening day against a newly promoted team. Previously, they had won 10 of their first 13 matches against such teams, with 3 draws.

Ajayi played as a centre-back and helped Hull keep a clean sheet. He was substituted in the 64th minute.
