APM pushes back South-south town hall meeting

The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has moved its South-south zonal town hall meeting. It was supposed to hold on Friday, 25 September in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

This was shared in a statement signed by Anthony Ehilebo. He is the special adviser on media and digital communications to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde. The announcement came on Thursday in Abuja.

The organisation said it will share a new date soon. They apologized for any trouble this may cause stakeholders and supporters in the area.

"The organisation regrets any inconveniences the postponement may cause our distinguished stakeholders, teeming members and supporters in the zone. A new date will be communicated in due course," he said.

Even with this postponement, the organisation confirmed that the North-Central zonal town hall meeting would still take place. It is set for Monday, 28 September, in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

This update comes after the successful reception of presidential candidate, Mr Makinde, and his running mate, Musa Daura. They had a good turnout during their North-west event in Katsina.

The organisation pointed out that the crowd showed the support for the party’s presidential candidate, his running mate, and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) as the 2027 presidential election approaches.

The organisation urged citizens to keep their focus on the shared goal to rescue and reset Nigeria. They want to create a country that works for everyone under a Makinde-Daura Presidency with the APM.

"The organisation urges all Nigerians to remain united and steadfast in this collective quest to rescue and reset Nigeria to a nation that works for all under a Makinde-Daura Presidency on the platform of the APM," he stated.
