Michael Olise and Luis Diaz were among five players who scored as Bayern Munich enjoyed a 5-1 win at home against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga opener on Friday.
As the defending champions, Bayern controlled the game from start to finish. This match was a rematch of last season’s German Cup final, and Olise played brilliantly, even with the heavy rain.
Dayot Upamecano put Bayern ahead with a header from a corner kick. After the break, Stuttgart's Josha Vagnoman equalized, but Bayern quickly regained control with two goals in three minutes from Olise and a Vagnoman own goal.
Ismael Saibari, making his Bundesliga debut, set up a late goal for Aleksandar Pavlovic. Diaz also scored in stoppage time, keeping Bayern's unbeaten streak in league openers at 15 seasons.
Harry Kane has scored 14 goals against Stuttgart, more than any other German team, but he had a quiet game and was substituted late in the second half.

Early in the second half, Stuttgart seemed to bounce back when Vagnoman scored on a rebound. But Bayern quickly took charge again.
Olise scored after receiving a great pass from Kimmich just three minutes before Vagnoman scored an own goal while trying to clear a low cross from Alphonso Davies.
Olise found the net again just six minutes later, turning in a clever pass from Kane, but this goal was ruled out for a narrow offside.
Saibari set up Pavlovic for a late goal, and Diaz completed the scoring in stoppage time, sealing a decisive win for Bayern.
