Bayern Munich welcomed Harry Kane back with a special guard of honour on Tuesday. This was to celebrate his win of the 2026 Ballon d'Or in London.
Teammates, officials, staff, and fans all applauded Kane and other Bayern players who came back from the awards ceremony. This happened just before their last training session ahead of the DFB Cup match against 1. FC Magdeburg.

As Kane walked through the guard of honour made by club staff, he heard loud cheers and chants of "Harry, Harry." Bayern called this moment very emotional for both Kane and the players.
Kane, at 33 years old, won the Ballon d'Or for the best footballer in the world for the 2025/26 season during the ceremony on Monday. He is the first Bayern player to win this award in 45 years, since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Before Kane, Gerd Müller, Franz Beckenbauer, and Rummenigge also won the award while playing for Bayern Munich. Kane also got the trophy for the best striker of the 2025/26 season.
At the awards, he said, "It’s an honour to play for this club and to bring this trophy back to Munich."
To celebrate Kane's achievement, Bayern lit up the Allianz Arena in gold, displaying his name on the stadium. The Empire State Building in New York was also lit in gold for him.
The club mentioned that Kane would receive more tributes from fans before the cup match against Magdeburg and the Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Kane is expected to bring the Ballon d'Or trophy to the stadium and show it to Bayern supporters before the match against Dortmund.
