Popular Nigerian singer, Abiola Akinbiyi, who is known as Bella Shmurda, has claimed that he was cheated after paying $4 million for a property in Lagos.
The singer revealed that he just found out he had been scammed. He said the house does not belong to the person who sold it to him.
He shared this during an emotional Instagram Live session on Tuesday. He broke down in tears while asking for help.
Bella Shmurda said he felt devastated by the situation. He is scared of losing the money he worked hard to earn.
"Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property," he said.
He alleged that the person who sold him the property has vanished after taking the money.
"And now the seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I’ve got nothing left," he said.
"I worked for years for this. I can’t lose $4 million like that."
Bella Shmurda mentioned that he had reached out to his lawyer to look into the issue.
"I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation," he said.
He did not share the name of the seller or any more details about the property during the livestream.
So far, the claims have not been independently checked. There has been no official word from the police or anyone else involved in the deal.
