Manchester United's head coach Michael Carrick said he does not think he will be fired in the next 24 hours. This comes after the team suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss at home to Bournemouth.
The defeat has increased pressure on Carrick. United has been struggling to find consistent performances and good results this season.
Fabrizio Romano shared on X on Sunday that after the loss, Carrick talked about the uncertainty of his job. He said he is not expecting any quick decisions about his future.
“I totally understand the situation. I’m not expecting anything in particular, to be honest. I’m carrying on as normal and, you know, I love this place,” he stated.
Carrick also reaffirmed his dedication to the club. He said he would always do what he believes is best for Manchester United.
These comments come at a tough time for the team. The recent loss raises more questions about the team’s performance and the season’s direction.
Even with the increasing scrutiny, Carrick seems set on continuing his role while waiting for updates from the club's management.
For now, Carrick clearly stated he does not expect to be fired soon. Still, there is uncertainty about what the next few days hold for Manchester United and their manager.
