Chelsea beat AC Milan 3-0 in Jakarta on Saturday to win the 2026 Indonesia Super Cup. Joao Pedro scored twice, and Moises Caicedo added a stunning third goal.
The win came during Chelsea’s fourth match of their pre-season tour. Head coach Xabi Alonso’s team controlled most of the game at the GBK Stadium. The match had 40,856 fans in attendance, as reported on the club's website.
Joao Pedro put Chelsea ahead in first-half stoppage time. He connected with Caicedo’s corner and directed a header past Milan’s goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani.
Pedro doubled Chelsea’s lead just after the break, thanks to an assist from Pedro Neto. Neto moved the ball onto his left foot and crossed to the back post. Joao Pedro got away from his marker and sent the ball into the net.
Caicedo extended Chelsea’s lead in the 50th minute with a great volley using the outside of his foot. This goal came from another corner, as Romeo Lavia sent the ball to the edge of the penalty area for Caicedo to finish into the corner.
Milan made several changes at half-time, while Alonso kept his starting players on the pitch. Chelsea kept creating chances after going three goals up. Cole Palmer forced Torriani into another save with a shot from 18 yards.
Nicolas Jackson, who came on with Geovany Quenda in the second half, also came close. He hit the post after a powerful run into the Milan box.
Caicedo captained the team along with Lavia in midfield. The attack featured Palmer, Joao Pedro, Neto, and Danny Welbeck.
This victory marked Chelsea’s first trophy on their Indonesian pre-season tour. It also helps them prepare for the 2026/27 season.
Chelsea will play again on Sunday. They will travel to Malaysia to take on Johor Darul Ta’zim. The match will kick off at 8pm local time and 1pm UK time.
