Chelsea’s new owners say they are ready to compete at the top level and win big trophies. This comes after Todd Boehly and Mark Walter left the club.
In a statement on the club’s website after Clearlake Capital took full control on Thursday, the new owners thanked the outgoing partners for their work. They also said the club is moving ahead with “a shared sense of purpose, clear direction and confidence in what comes next.”
“Our ambition is clear: to compete at the highest level, to win major trophies, and to build sustained success,” the statement added.
The new owners highlighted that Chelsea fans are “the heart of this Club” and have been its “true custodians for over 120 years.” They mentioned that while they are responsible for ownership, “this will always be your Club.”
Winning on the field is the top goal. The new owners are committed to competing for the Premier League and other major titles. They also aim to strengthen the club’s financial side to ensure ongoing investment in the team.
The ownership group also confirmed its focus on long-term plans for the club's infrastructure.
“We will keep working to move Chelsea forward, together,” the statement wrapped up.
