Como has joined Liverpool and Real Madrid in setting the record for the biggest winning margin in UEFA Champions League history. They crushed Lens 9-1 in their Matchday 4 match on Tuesday night.

This nine-goal win gives Como an eight-goal victory margin. This matches Liverpool's 8-0 win over Beşiktaş in 2007 and Real Madrid's 8-0 victory against Malmö in 2015.

As reported on the UEFA website on Wednesday, Como is now only the second team after Bayern Munich to score nine goals in a Champions League match.

Tasos Douvikas scored three goals in the match. Six other players from Como also scored, making it the biggest away victory in the tournament's history.

Liverpool was the first to achieve an eight-goal winning margin. They defeated Beşiktaş 8-0 during the 2007/08 group stage.

In that match, Peter Crouch scored two goals, joining Yossi Benayoun, who got a hat-trick. Ryan Babel also scored two goals, and captain Steven Gerrard netted the last goal.

Real Madrid matched this record on December 8, 2015, beating Malmö 8-0 at home.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals, setting a group-stage record of 11 goals. Karim Benzema also scored three goals in that match.

Bayern Munich is also in the record books. They defeated GNK Dinamo 9-2 on September 17, 2024, setting the record for the most goals scored by a team in a single Champions League match.

In that match, Harry Kane scored four goals, and Michael Olise added two.
