Former Queens Park Rangers player Akos Buzsaky has confirmed he is safe after he was reported missing in Hungary.

Reports came out on Wednesday that Buzsaky had been missing for over a week, and the police were searching for him.

But the former Hungary international took to Facebook on Friday to assure everyone that he was alright. He also thanked people for their concern.

In a message shared by QPR on X on Friday, Buzsaky said he had been going through tough times recently.
“Unfortunately, in the last few months, there have been serious changes in my life that have tested me.

“There came a moment when I felt I had to break away from these daily routines.”

Buzsaky explained that his mother called the police due to a “misunderstanding.”
He said, “As soon as I learned about the situation, I stopped my retreat and informed the authorities.

“Thank you very much for all the concern and thoughts you have shown me.

“I wish everyone a nice day, and it felt really good to receive so much love!”

The 44-year-old played five seasons at Loftus Road after joining QPR on loan in 2007.

He also played for Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, and Barnsley while in England, scoring 33 goals in 243 matches.

Buzsaky earned 20 caps for Hungary during his international career.
