Hull City winger Sorba Thomas walked away unhurt after his car was involved in an accident near the club’s training ground in Cottingham on Friday morning.

Photos of the Wales international’s car shared on social media showed it flipped over, raising worries among fans. The crash occurred on Millhouse Wood Lane, close to Hull’s training facilities.

Hull City quickly reassured fans, confirming that the 27-year-old was not injured.

In a statement on Friday, the club said, “We’re relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed.”

“The club is aware of images of Sorba’s car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” the statement added.

The club did not share more details about what led to the accident.

Thomas joined Hull from Stoke City on transfer deadline day and has already played two matches for the Tigers since then.

He made his Hull debut as a substitute in Saturday’s 0-0 Premier League draw with Aston Villa before starting Tuesday’s 1-0 Carabao Cup loss to Sunderland.

Thomas’ participation in the Sunderland match was confirmed in the starting line-up, and he played the entire 90 minutes.

Hull has made a strong comeback to the Premier League, earning seven points in their first three league matches without conceding any goals.

The Tigers defeated Manchester United 2-0 and Coventry City 1-0 before holding Aston Villa to a goalless draw, leaving them second in the table after three matches.

They are set to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with kick-off at 3pm.

The club has not yet said if Thomas will be able to play in the match following Friday morning’s accident.
