IShowSpeed sings 'Champions' at World Cup final closing show

American streamer Darren Watkins Jr., known as IShowSpeed, performed his song, "Champions," during the closing ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday in New York.

He took to the stage in front of a packed crowd at the New York New Jersey Stadium. Fans from all over the world enjoyed his high-energy performance of the song.

Spain faced off against defending champions Argentina for the world title.

IShowSpeed wore a white suit and led a big group of backup dancers in colourful tracksuits. The performance lasted about three minutes and included marching drummers, synchronized dance moves, and impressive visual projections on the pitch.

FIFA’s verified account replied, "We will be in touch," which made fans speculate.

But FIFA kept "Goals" by Lisa, Anitta, and Nigerian singer Rema as the official soundtrack for the tournament. Still, IShowSpeed's performance of "Champions" at the World Cup final marked a big moment for him on football’s biggest stage.
