The Kaduna State Government is happy about the results of the 2025 Phillips Consulting State Performance Index (pSPI). The index placed Kaduna State 3rd in Nigeria and gave it an Excellent Four-Star Rating. This puts Kaduna among the top-performing states in the country.

In a statement from the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, the state government said this ranking shows an independent confirmation of the reform-focused and people-centered policies by Governor Uba Sani's administration.

The Commissioner pointed out that the ranking shows clear progress in areas like governance, fiscal management, economic growth, infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, security, and social inclusion.

“This recognition is important because it comes from a trusted assessment that uses clear performance measures along with feedback from citizens. It shows that Kaduna State is making real progress in building strong institutions, improving governance, and creating more chances for its people,” Mr Maiyaki said.

He also mentioned that this ranking adds to a list of other independent awards for Kaduna State. Earlier this year, the state was ranked Number One in Nigeria on the 2025 Transparency and Integrity Index (TII) from the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CeFTPI). It also had the highest score in the Control of Corruption Indicator in the country.

Mr Maiyaki said these recognitions highlight the effects of ongoing reforms and investments in key areas. “These rankings are encouraging because they show that our work is bringing real results. But we still focus on improving the lives of our people through inclusive development, economic empowerment, quality service delivery, and lasting peace,” he added.

The Commissioner reaffirmed Governor Uba Sani's commitment to making Kaduna a peaceful, prosperous, transparent, and globally competitive state. He emphasized the need to continue reforms that will benefit the people more.

The Kaduna State Government thanked the citizens, development partners, traditional and religious leaders, civil society groups, and all stakeholders for their support in driving the state's progress and development.
