Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has condemned Nigeria's ongoing electricity problems, asking why the country still struggles with poor power supply in 2026.

Henshaw showed her frustration with the frequent power cuts. She said electricity sometimes only lasts a few minutes before it's cut off, forcing families to rely on other sources of power.

In a video posted on Instagram on Friday, Henshaw confronted the Minister of Power about the state of electricity supply. She demanded to know why outages keep happening.

"Come on, Mr Minister of Power. No light. There’s no light. There’s hardly been any electricity. You people bring it for maybe five minutes, and then it’s gone," she stated.

She also questioned a statement attributed to the minister. It was reported that some people complained in September about their freezers freezing their food and asked for less power supply.

"You were credited with a statement that in September, some people were telling you that you should turn off the power because the things in their freezers were freezing. What’s a freezer for?" she asked.

Henshaw insisted that the minister should reveal the names of those who allegedly made that complaint. She pointed out that many Nigerians still face serious issues with electricity.

"I need the names and numbers of these people that called you and said you should turn off the lights, or you should slow down or whatever it is you imagine they told you. There’s hardly electricity in 2026," she said.

The actress went on to challenge the idea of reducing power supply, saying Nigerians expect better electricity by now.

"I’m sorry that people are telling you you should slow down. Slow down what? We are meant to have electricity this 2026. I’m just so angry," she expressed.

She also shared how the unreliable electricity situation affects people's lives, saying it has become a major source of distress for many Nigerians.

"God will judge all of you. God will judge you people," she added, mentioning that Nigerians deserve better treatment given their struggles.

Her remarks show the ongoing public frustration about electricity supply. Many households and businesses often have to rely on generators and solar systems to get the energy they need.
