LASK head coach Dietmar Kühbauer is hopeful that Super Eagles forward Moses Usor will bounce back fast from the shoulder injury he picked up in the 2-0 loss to Rapid Wien at the Raiffeisen Arena on Sunday.

Usor came on in the second half, replacing Austrian striker Christoph Lang in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he had to leave the game just 12 minutes later, and Samuel Adediran from the United States took his place.

After the game, Kühbauer talked to the media about the injury but remained positive.

“Mo has a slight injury to his shoulder joint. I hope it won’t take too long,” Kühbauer said via Laola.

The 24-year-old now faces uncertainty for LASK’s UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool on Wednesday evening.

This injury is a big setback for Kühbauer, as LASK has eight matches lined up in the next four weeks. This tight schedule leaves little room to switch players.

Usor has been on a high note with the national team. He made his Super Eagles debut during the September international break, coming off the bench to score the winning goal in Nigeria’s 2-1 comeback win over Madagascar in their first 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.

It took him only 14 minutes after coming on to deliver a stunning solo effort that turned the game around, after George Ilenikhena had equalized following Ehsan Kari’s opening goal.

Now, the Nigerian international is hoping to recover quickly and get back to the pitch, aiming to keep up his strong performance for both club and country.
