Leeds United finally ended their five-match winless run in the Premier League. They secured a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday.

Noah Okafor came off the bench to score the winning goal in the 79th minute. This goal earned all three points for Daniel Farke’s team and stopped Tottenham’s three-match winning streak.

The first half ended without any goals. Both teams struggled to find the net before Leeds turned up the pressure after the break.

Okafor scored after Harry Wilson helped create the chance from a throw-in. Wilson controlled the ball inside the penalty area and set up the Swiss striker. Okafor took a touch before shooting past Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky into the bottom corner.

The goal went to a Video Assistant Referee check due to a possible handball by Wilson. However, the referee allowed the goal to stand.

Tottenham, under manager Roberto De Zerbi, tried to equalise but could not get past Leeds’ defence. They came close through Conor Gallagher, whose shot in the second half went just wide. Jan Paul van Hecke also had a header from a corner saved by Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford.

This loss ended Tottenham's three-game winning streak in the league. They had recently beaten Coventry City, Chelsea, and Crystal Palace.

Leeds had not won in their last five Premier League matches before Saturday. Their last win was a 4-1 victory over Newcastle United in September.

This win also gave Farke’s team a much-needed boost ahead of the international break in November.
