The newly refurbished Maracana Sports Complex in Ajegunle will host the first Nathaniel Idowu Summer Camp. This camp is organized by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation and will run from August 3 to August 28, 2026.
The Foundation says the camp aims to develop youth. It is designed to inspire, educate, and empower children through sports and other enriching experiences.
The camp is open to boys and girls aged 10 to 16. Over four weeks, participants will receive professional coaching in football, basketball, and athletics. There will also be teamwork activities, fun games, leadership training, and character building.
All activities will take place in a safe, friendly, and structured environment. Experienced coaches and facilitators will supervise everything.
The Foundation spoke about the camp, saying it is committed to using sports for positive social change. They stated, “The Summer Camp is more than just a holiday programme. It is an opportunity to nurture young talents, build confidence, encourage healthy living, promote discipline, and create lasting friendships among children from diverse backgrounds.”
The Foundation also highlighted its Let Her Play initiative. This program ensures that girls have equal chances to participate, compete, and grow their sporting skills.
Parents and guardians should take this chance to keep their kids active and engaged in meaningful activities during the holiday.
The Nathaniel Idowu Foundation is dedicated to changing lives through education, health, and sports. They continue to invest in developing the next generation of leaders and athletes.
