Mexico wins World Cup opener against South Africa 2-0

In the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Mexico beat South Africa 2-0 at the Mexico City Stadium on June 11, 2026. The match was intense and full of drama, featuring three red cards. South Africa ended up with only nine players.
