Michael Bush and Wife Celebrate Birth of Baby Girl

Labour Party governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Michael Bush, and his wife, Jaunty, have welcomed a new baby girl.

Ms Bush announced the baby's arrival on Wednesday. This was also the day Akwa Ibom State celebrated its 39th anniversary.

In a Facebook post, Ms Bush wrote, in capital letters, "ABASIODIONG AKWAABASI IBOM STATE," which means "God bless Akwa Ibom State" in Ibibio.

She shared pictures of herself in a white flowing dress, smiling and showing off her baby bump. The photos were likely taken before she gave birth.

The post received many congratulatory messages from Facebook users, including her husband.

Mr Bush responded to the announcement, saying, "A fantastic opportunity to say thank you for being deliberate and patient and loving enough not only to grow The BUSH Clan but also to groom us. Blessings on all sides."

He added, "Nnwan Mmi!" which means "My wife" in Ibibio.

Mr Bush also shared his wife's post on his Facebook page. He added the caption, "She did it! ...B."

In another Facebook post, the Labour Party candidate mentioned that the baby is their third daughter.
