NDC says support group registration is free of charge

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has told state chairmen and party officials not to ask for registration fees from support groups. They made it clear that registration is free.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa, on Friday in Abuja, the party said that support groups do not have to pay any fees to register.

Osa explained that the registration is handled only by the Directorate of Support Groups at the national headquarters in Abuja.

He urged everyone with questions or registration requests to contact the Directorate. He warned that no state chapter or official is allowed to register support groups or collect money for this.

"All State Chapters of the party are hereby directed to be properly guided and to comply strictly with this directive," he said.

He added that anyone who breaks this rule will face appropriate disciplinary action according to the party’s constitution.

Osa noted that the party values the support from groups like the Obidient and Kwankwasiya Movements.

He mentioned that the NDC will keep providing a good environment for these groups to help the party succeed at all levels.
