The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Electoral Committee has shared the timetable for the federation’s executive committee elections. These elections will take place on 27 September in Lafia, which is the capital of Nasarawa State.
The committee said that the sale of nomination forms will start on Saturday, 1 August. They will also publish the election guidelines at the same time.
Candidates must submit their completed nomination forms by 12 August. If there are any issues with the submitted documents, the candidates will be informed between 13 and 19 August. They will have from 20 to 27 August to fix any problems.
The screening of candidates is scheduled for 27 to 30 August. On 31 August, the provisional list of candidates who passed the screening will be released. Candidates who are disqualified during screening can appeal between 1 and 3 September.
The Electoral Committee will handle all appeals between 4 and 10 September. The final list of candidates who cleared will be published between 11 and 12 September. The list of delegates will be available on 13 September.
Campaigns for the approved candidates will take place from 14 to 24 September. Delegates will then vote for a new executive committee on 27 September in Lafia. The committee has also set 30 September as the deadline for submitting any election petitions.
