The Nigerian Army is working on its troop welfare program. They just completed the Chief of Army Staff’s second welfare flight for June.
An operational report from the News Agency of Nigeria said the flight used a chartered ValueJet aircraft. It moved 329 military personnel to and from the North-East area where they are working.
The report showed that 155 personnel were taken into the Operation Hadin Kai area, while 174 were flown back.
Military leaders said this program aims to improve troop welfare. It helps with the movement of soldiers in frontline areas.
Since the program started, a total of 33,426 military personnel have been moved in and out of the area.
“The movement was completed without incident.
“The welfare flight program remains one of the key welfare initiatives of the Chief of Army Staff aimed at boosting troop morale and operational effectiveness,” he said.
