Onuachu may face new rival as Trabzonspor looks to sign Richarlison

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu might have to fight harder for a starting place at Trabzonspor if Tottenham's forward Richarlison joins the Turkish team.

Richarlison has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Trabzonspor and wants to move to Turkey, but the transfer is not yet official.

Tottenham has turned down two offers from Trabzonspor for the Brazilian player. The Turkish club is expected to make a better offer as they aim to finalize the deal before the end of the Turkish transfer window.

If Richarlison comes to Trabzonspor, he will add another strong striker to their attacking lineup. Onuachu is already a key player in the club's forward group.

Trabzonspor's vice-president Zeyyat Kafkas had earlier said that the club wants to keep their main players, including Onuachu. But a big offer could change the club's plans.

Onuachu had a great 2025/26 season with Trabzonspor. He helped the team win the Turkish Cup and became one of their top attacking players.

Richarlison is looking to leave Tottenham and has reportedly chosen Trabzonspor as his preferred club.

For now, the planned transfer is still pending. Tottenham and Trabzonspor need to agree on the transfer fee.

If Richarlison eventually joins, Onuachu will have to compete with another well-known forward for playing time in Trabzonspor’s attack.
