Onyedika thrilled after scoring first goal in Bundesliga

Super Eagles player Raphael Onyedika is excited after netting his first Bundesliga goal for Eintracht Frankfurt. This happened during their 3-1 win against Hamburger SV on Sunday.

Onyedika found the back of the net in the 47th minute at Deutsche Bank Park. This goal came after the visitors equalised through Terem Moffi. Moffi scored just four minutes after Warmed Omari’s own goal had put Frankfurt in the lead.

Onyedika was quick to react when Hamburg goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes failed to catch Lilian Brassier’s header from a corner. He swept the rebound into the net, making the score 2-1.

Frankfurt's Younes Ebnoutalib added the third goal in the 69th minute, securing the win for the team.

This goal is Onyedika’s first in Germany’s top league since he joined Frankfurt from Belgian team Club Brugge in August.

The 25-year-old showed his happiness with the goal and thanked the fans for their support in a message after the match.

“Hello fans, Eintracht Frankfurt people, thank you for the support. And it’s nice to get my first Bundesliga goal. Thank you, see you guys,” he said.

Onyedika moved to Frankfurt after spending four seasons at Club Brugge. There, he became a key player in midfield and won several local trophies.

Now, Onyedika hopes to build on this important goal as Frankfurt moves forward in the Bundesliga. They are set to play against Paderborn on November 7.
