Python Golf Club in Port Harcourt will host this year’s Nigerian National Finals of the International Pairs Golf Championship. This event is heating up as golfers aim for a spot in the World Final.
The finals will take place from July 31 to August 2. Amateur golfers from all over Nigeria will compete for a chance to represent the country at the global finals in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. That event is scheduled for October 5 to 9, 2026.
Falcon Golf Development Company is in charge of organizing the tournament in Nigeria.
Remi Olukoya, the Chief Executive Officer of FGDC, spoke about the preparations. He assured participants that they will have a world-class golfing experience. He promised a great event for everyone taking part.
“All necessary arrangements to ensure the tournament goes as planned have been firmly put in place,” Olukoya said.
To make the national finals a success, FGDC is working with several corporate sponsors. These include Singleton by Diageo, CyberspacePay, CyberCloud, Spar Market, Pepsi, Trueblue Energy, Jotun Paints, Sterling Global Oil Resources Limited, CAGL Global Company Limited, and Alltrade Post Express, among others.
“We also want to thank all our partners, corporate outfits helping us to prosecute this year’s finals. We appreciate their support,” Olukoya said. He promised a quality experience for everyone involved.
The International Pairs started in England in 1998. It is known as the largest amateur pairs golf tournament in the world.
This championship gives regular club golfers with an official handicap a special chance to compete at a high level. They can wear their national colours and proudly represent Nigeria on the global stage.
