Troops of Operation HADIN KAI stopped a terrorist attack on a military base and safely evacuated 21 female students. This happened after they received intelligence about a planned attack in Borno.

Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday said that the troops also caught a suspected kidnapper who was moving between Nigeria and Cameroon.

The report explained that soldiers from the 3 Battalion at Forward Operating Base Logomani saw ISWAP/JAS terrorists trying to surround their base with CCTV cameras. The troops fought back, forcing the terrorists to retreat before they could carry out their plan.

In another situation, troops in Sector 3 acted on a tip-off that seven suspected ISWAP/JAS terrorists with improvised explosive devices were spotted near the Water Board IDP Camp in Monguno. The soldiers quickly evacuated 21 female students from nearby places to Kinnasara Barracks. “Three students who had seizures during the evacuation were treated at a hospital, and local security was increased,” the report added.
