The Super Falcons, who have won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 10 times, will begin their final preparations for the 2026 tournament. They will open a week-long training camp in Mohammedia, Morocco, on July 15.
The Falcons are set to defend their title at the tournament, which runs from July 25 to August 16. They also aim to secure a spot at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Head coach Justine Madugu will announce the final squad of 24 players before they leave. The last time the team gathered was for friendly matches against Senegal in June.
The training camp in Mohammedia is the last chance for the coaching staff to adjust their tactics, build team spirit, and prepare the players physically before heading to Rabat.
Nigeria is drawn in Group C. They will kick off their title defence against Malawi on Tuesday, July 28, at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
Next, they will face Zambia on Saturday, August 1, at the same stadium. They will wrap up the group stage against Egypt on Wednesday, August 5, at the Olympic Stadium.
