The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit has arrested a 19-year-old British man, Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, for allegedly having and trafficking 23.4 kilogrammes of cocaine.
The police shared this news in a statement on their Facebook page on Friday.
Oduola, who lives in Dagenham, East London, was arrested for crimes he reportedly committed on September 29, 2026.
The statement said, "The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit has arrested and formally charged Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, 19 years of #145 Valance Wood Road, Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom for the following offences committed on September 29th 2026: possession of cocaine, trafficking of cocaine, intent to supply cocaine, attempting to export cocaine."
The police revealed that the cocaine weighed 23.4kg and is estimated to be worth $1.17 million in Barbados currency.
The statement continued, "The weight of the suspected cocaine is 23.4kg with an estimated street value of one million, one hundred and seventy thousand dollars ($1,170,000.00) Barbados currency."
