Nigerian forwards Akor Adams and Samuel Chukwueze will clash when Venezia visits AC Milan’s San Siro Stadium on Friday. This match kicks off the second round of the 2026/27 Italian Serie A season.
Chukwueze, who is now playing as a wing-back under AC Milan’s coach Ruben Amorim, aims to keep his good form going. He had a strong start in the Rossoneri’s 2-1 win at Torino, where Alphadjo Cisse and Adrien Rabiot scored in the second half.
The 27-year-old’s speed and ability to cross the ball are expected to be a big challenge for Venezia’s defense.
On the other hand, Adams comes to San Siro as Venezia’s record signing. He kicked off his career with the newly promoted side by scoring two goals in a 3-2 Coppa Italia victory over Modena.
But Venezia’s Serie A return did not start well. They lost 2-0 at home to Lecce in their first match. Coach Giovanni Stroppa was upset after two of his team's goals were ruled out.
AC Milan has been strong against Venezia in their recent matches. They have won all of their last five encounters, keeping clean sheets in four of those games.
Milan is expected to keep their unbeaten streak against Venezia. After this weekend, Venezia will face Udinese in the Coppa Italia Round of 32.
In that match, Adams will again meet a fellow Nigerian. He is set to face Maduka Okoye, who is likely to be in goal for Udinese.
