Adekunle Gold holds dinner to mark new brand deal

Singer and songwriter Adekunle Gold recently held a special dinner at Vici in Victoria Island, Lagos. This event was to celebrate his new role as a brand ambassador for The Macallan, a single malt Scotch whisky.

The invite-only gathering had around 50 guests. It brought together top names from Nigeria’s creative and entertainment scene. Some of the notable guests included Simi Kosoko, Bovi, Ladipoe, Femi Dapson, Dotun Kayode, Teniola Aladese, Ugo Mozie, Kaylah Oniwo, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, and more.

The dinner was designed to celebrate craftsmanship and creativity. A live four-piece string quartet played music as guests arrived, along with specially made cocktails.

Daniel Atteh, The Macallan's brand ambassador and educator, formally opened the event. He was followed by Hammed Adebiyi, Senior Brand Manager for West and Central Africa at Edrington Portfolio. Adebiyi talked about how the brand aligns with Adekunle Gold.

"We are committed to excellence, crafted with patience and time. That is why the partnership with Adekunle Gold feels so natural. He is someone who is intentional about his craft, and that has been evident across more than a decade of work. Tonight we are proud to officially announce him as our brand ambassador," Adebiyi said.

Guests enjoyed a three-course gourmet dinner along with a guided whisky tasting. This tasting was specially curated to show the connection between the aging of fine single malt whisky and the creative growth of lasting artistry.

Later, Gold participated in a fireside chat. He shared thoughts on his artistic journey, highlighting years of hard work, discipline, and growth that shaped his career. He also led a toast to officially mark the partnership with his close associates present.

On the collaboration, Gold expressed gratitude and saw it as a validation of his creative journey.

He said, "Tonight is about gratitude. It has been a long time coming. I took the stairs, I did the work, and it is incredible to see that the time and hard work have chosen to become forever. I am grateful that a company like The Macallan understands my journey, sees my excellence and everything I represent. To every creative out there, just keep going.
