Calvin Bassey helped Fulham put on a strong show at home on Sunday. They ended up with a late 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Craven Cottage.
After a quiet first half, Bassey made his mark just after the hour. He drove forward after winning the ball and fired a shot. United's goalkeeper, Senne Lammens, could only knock it into the path of Lisandro Martinez, who scored.
Fulham seemed on track for their first win under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa. But Matheus Cunha had other plans. He scored in the 89th minute with a 20-yard shot that took a bad deflection off Fulham's David Affengruber. This wrong-footed goalkeeper Bernd Leno, and the ball found the corner of the net.
Bassey's teammate and fellow Nigerian, Alex Iwobi, played for 71 minutes. This was his fifth appearance in the Premier League this season, matching Bassey’s number of games.
In Turkey, Gift Orban kept his scoring streak going with a goal and an assist. Amedspor won 3-2 against Besiktas. Orban has scored seven goals and provided two assists in just six games. He now shares the top spot in the Super Lig scoring chart with Mohamed Salah.
