Nigerian forward Gift Orban and Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi will play against each other on Sunday when Amed SK hosts Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig.
Orban is currently the top scorer with six goals in five matches. Ndidi has not played much this season and might start on the bench again.
This match at Diyarbakir Stadyumu is the first time these two clubs are meeting in a competitive game. Amed SK sits third on the table, just one spot and two points behind Besiktas, who are in second place.
Amed SK has been strong at home, winning all three of their league games this season. They have scored 10 goals and only let in one. Their last match was a 5-0 win against Istanbul Basaksehir, where Orban scored a hat-trick in the second half. Away from home, they drew 2-2 against Kasimpasa and lost 0-2 to Kocaelispor.
Besiktas comes into this match in good form. They have won their last three league games, including a 6-2 win over Corum FK and a 2-1 victory against Fenerbahce. They also beat Marseille 4-1 in the Europa League earlier this week.
Amed SK will be without Muhammed Yildirim and Super Eagles winger Yira Sor, who are both out with muscle injuries but could return before the end of September. Dilhan Demir is out until early November due to a cruciate ligament injury.
Besiktas will miss Leandro Trossard for one to two weeks because of a tendon issue. Vaclav Cerny is also doubtful after getting injured in the match against Marseille. Ernest Poku may come in if Cerny is not fit to play.
