CANAL+ and LALIGA Team Up Against Illegal Sports Streaming

CANAL+ and LALIGA have signed a deal to fight piracy. This agreement covers almost 50 countries in Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and Haiti. The broadcaster and the Spanish football league want to stop illegal streaming of sports content.

The agreement was announced recently in Paris and Madrid. It will help both organizations share information, work together on enforcement plans, and speed up actions against illegal streaming networks across different regions.

This partnership combines the anti-piracy technology and enforcement skills of both groups. They want to protect the value of sports broadcasting rights.

Javier Tebas, the President of LALIGA, said piracy is a big problem for sports. He believes it needs more teamwork between rights holders and broadcasters.
